Duncan founded Subadra in 1993 and was its Managing Director until 2021.
He is an accredited Principal Designer for the purposes of CDM 2015 and is a Certified Passivhaus Designer. He provides specialist advice on the design and construction of residential and commercial developments built to Passivhaus and EnerPHit standards. Duncan is currently leading the team building the UK’s first residential Passivhaus Premium.
Duncan also advises on both geotechnical and environmental projects for a range of blue chip clients as well being a sought-after expert witness in contaminated land disputes. He has over 30 years experience in geo-environmental engineering, working in over 20 countries to date.
Duncan is a Chartered Civil Engineer with an B.A. in Engineering Science from St. Catherine’s College, Oxford and an M.Sc. in Soil Mechanics from Imperial College, London.
In his spare time Duncan enjoys cycling, skiing, sailing and flying.
