Keeping nationally critical infrastructure protected and performing as it should.
We are working on a CEMEX UK project, supporting high pressure main cathodic protection works at a pipeline pigging station.
For those outside the sector, a pig station is where inspection tools, known as pigs, are sent through the pipeline. They travel along the line checking internal condition and steel thickness to ensure it can safely handle operating pressures.
This particular pipeline quietly transports around 4000 cubic metres of material every day from quarry to processing facility, where it is blended and used in cement production. It is a hidden but vital link in the supply chain.
By moving material underground rather than by road, it significantly reduces lorry movements and lowers carbon impact. Infrastructure like this often goes unseen, but its role in supporting UK construction and reducing emissions is substantial.
We are proud to contribute to the protection and longevity of assets that keep essential materials moving.
