Our team have been keeping a close watch for unexploded ordnance (UXO) this week. Fortunately, our drilling team were equipped with non-magnetic stainless steel casing, and a UXO specialist was on hand with a magnetometer to ensure everything was clear. Nothing to report this time, but it is always worth carrying out checks in higher UXO-risk areas.
Exeter was one of several cities bombed during the Luftwaffe’s Baedeker Raids, which targeted locations of cultural and historical importance. The legacy of that period means UXO risk assessments remain an essential part of ground investigation across much of the UK.
At Subadra, we take site safety seriously. Our teams are trained to manage the unique challenges that come with drilling in historically sensitive locations. By combining experience, precision and attention to detail, we ensure every investigation is carried out safely and effectively.
Unexploded ordnance clearance at its best.
