The Challenge
The investigation required multiple survey and testing techniques to be completed within a single day, across an open grassed area surrounded by existing infrastructure and utilities. Managing this safely and efficiently within the tight timeframe was key to the project’s success.
The Solution
Our team carried out topographic and utility surveys to confirm existing site conditions before progressing with a series of boreholes for geotechnical testing. Soakaway and plate bearing tests were undertaken to assess infiltration rates and ground bearing capacity, while groundwater monitoring wells were installed to enable ongoing observation of seasonal water levels throughout the winter months.
